wenvrsleep:

Spent the better part of my day at an antique and vintage clothing auction in Horsham yesterday.  There were two very serious bidders - one young man from Japan buying every pre-1960’s, American-made piece that came up for bid and another man from Brimfield who purchased just about every Victorian through 1930’s dress and blouse available.  Prices were well out of my range, being that I am not a dealer.  Still managed to get the one thing I wanted most by sticking around until 5 pm.  Turns out it is a Carvalhu’s of Rio.  Don Carvalhu was a 1970’s Brutalist Metalsmith who made art-for-wear bags and belts.  Not too bad for five bucks!
